Two hundred and thirty needy students from Kisumu County on Wednesday benefited from a Sh100 million full scholarships programme from the county government. The project unveiled by Governor Jack Ranguma at Tom Mboya Labour College will see six students from each of the 35 wards across the county get their fees fully paid by the county government. The beneficiaries will also get books, transport, sanitary towels and uniforms in the four year program targeting the needy but bright students. Speaking during the unveiling of the project, Ranguma said his government was committed to transforming education and giving opportunities to deserving cases. “Education is a talent that we cannot replace and that is why when it comes to education we have to put politics aside and come together as leaders from this county so as to help our children,” said Ranguma. The project has also recruited 20 students living with disabilities through a cretarea described by the county chief as a quarterly system which took into consideration the county’s geographically
